Chavurah/Small Groups Overview
Micah Chavurah Groups are a way to provide our congregants with breakout groups based on interest, which enable them to become more active at Micah as well as the community at large.
Each Chavurah is a small group of Micah members who come together to learn, to socialize and enjoy Jewish living with their families and friends. They study together, worship together, celebrate Jewish holidays together, and eat together. For many, the Chavurah is an extended family.
Want to know the members of your Jewish community better? Desirous for your Jewish life to find its place in your suburban life? You are not alone. Several of you have indicated a desire to feel more connected to others in the congregation. New groups based on shared interests are forming all the time. What makes these small groups Jewish? You do! It is not the explicit content, but the inner workings of each that makes the relationships you will form so rewarding. In these more intimate settings, everyone is heard so nothing can prevent you from withholding your unique contribution.
New groups are forming all the time… What might you like to get started?
