Congregation Micah hosts overnight guests for dinner and breakfast one Saturday each month during the winter months (November - March). The goal of our partnership is to "provide safe shelter, warm meals, and fellowship for our neighbors struggling with homelessness during the coldest months of the year."

A CHANGE IS GONNA COME
We are a musical synagogue in Music City, and our former cantorial soloist, Lisa Silver, is an acclaimed member of the music business and a Nashville studio singer. The lead singer in this video, Cliff Knight, is a sergeant with the Metro Nashville Police Department, and he is one of the amazing officers who protects our synagogue on Shabbats and during Sunday and mid-week religious school. To say that we love and adore Cliff, that he is part of our Micah family, is an understatement. Here he is, singing a song of resistance and social change, with our very own Lisa Silver, her husband Clayton Ivey, member of the Musician's Hall of Fame on keyboards and organ, and Bruce Dees, a veteran Nashville studio musician and Micah member, on guitar. This music video embodies who we are as a reform movement--prayer through music, interfaith collaboration, social justice.
